HIGH QUALITY TOP OF RANGE SUPER 8 SOUND PROJECTOR *

. BELL & HOWELL DCR PROJECTOR. This model is from a highly sought after range built especially for Bell & Howell by high end projector manufacturers Sankyo of Japan. As everyone knows, the best cine projectors came from Japan. This is not a cheapo, plastic encased cine player, the type of which you remember from your youth. This is a high end machine, set in an alloy body - so very stable (and very heavy) with a fine lens and fantastic features. The DC range is one of the last in production so you will be hard to find a more recently manufactured machine even though it is 1980s. Beware earlier models with the flimsy film paths, delicate shells and overall unreliability. Beautiful, sleek design in gunship grey offset with tangerine buttons. Who needs tedious black projector when you can have something as stylish as this? As it is a later model is uses a dichroic two pin lamp which is still easily found. Do not invest in a projector whose replacements are no longer available. Projects via a strong, bright 100 watt beam. Super sharp focus ability. This has a zoom lens so you can increase the size of the projected image to fit the screen without moving the projector - a vast improvement on fixed lens models which lead to you stepping back and back to avoid postage stamp sized screen images. This is a sound model so can play both sound and silent films, of quite a long length. The DCR runs the single 8 gauge of film as well as super 8. You can also record sound onto film.
